Crawford Group (is seeking a Sr. Workplace Events Manager & Team Lead to join our embedded event team supporting a global enterprise technology client in Sydney, Australia. As a Crawford Group employee, you will be embedded onsite with our client, serving as the primary contact and team leader for their global Workplace Events program. This role is accountable for program governance, team leadership, and end-to-end delivery of the client's workplace events portfolio-including tours, office gatherings, and innovation events across AMER, EMEA, and APAC. You will manage a team of event professionals across multiple regions and serve as the single point of accountability for event delivery, team performance, financial governance, and client satisfaction. We are looking for a mission-driven people leader with strengths in event strategy, portfolio oversight, and hands-on execution across multiple event formats. This is a hybrid hands-on delivery and leadership role. The ideal candidate will come up to speed quickly and build strong trust with client stakeholders and the Crawford team. Responsibilities: Program Ownership & Accountability Own end-to-end delivery of the Workplace Events program across all event types and regions Serve as the single point of accountability for program performance, SLA compliance, and client satisfaction Lead strategic planning, workflow intake, prioritization, and resource allocation across the full event portfolio Ensure consistent quality and brand standards across all event types and geographies Prepare and present Monthly Program Reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews to client leadership Own business continuity plans and incident response protocols Team Leadership & Management Manage, mentor, and develop a team of event professionals across multiple global regions Coordinate with AMER-based Sr. Event Manager for cross-time-zone coverage, continuity, and escalation support Assign events based on capacity, expertise, and regional alignment; balance workload across concurrent programs Conduct regular team check-ins, performance management, and professional development planning Oversee hiring and onboarding of new team members in partnership with Sr. Account Director Lead training and development of event staff on client brand, culture, processes, and event technology Foster cross-training and knowledge sharing to ensure business continuity Client Relationship & Strategy Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for client stakeholders, building trusted relationships at all levels Provide strategic oversight of the full event portfolio across in-person, hybrid, and virtual formats Develop and own the events strategy and roadmap aligned with client priorities and objectives Drive event strategy and creative ideation, bringing industry relevance and knowledge Coordinate planning meetings with client Workplace teams across regions Lead QBRs, monthly check-ins, and reporting on budget adherence, SLAs, and KPIs Program Governance & Operations Accountable for overall program metrics, budgets, SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards across the team portfolio Implement and maintain workflow/ticketing systems for event requests, approvals, and tracking Identify gaps in processes and develop efficiencies Ensure all events and vendor activities comply with client legal, privacy, and security requirements Maintain and update event documentation, SOPs, playbooks, and knowledge base Event Delivery (Hands-On) Drive events production schedules and production meetings with cross-organizational teams Actively manage VIP-level employee-facing events and liaise between internal partners and external vendors for flawless event execution Deliver in-person employee events including venue management, catering, AV/tech coordination, and on-site execution Manage hybrid and virtual event formats via Zoom Webinar (client's virtual event platform) Provide white glove experience, attention to detail, project management, and strong communications Oversee registration management via Swoogo (client's registration platform), attendee communications, and feedback collection Drive continuous improvement through post-event retrospectives and lessons learned integration Financial Management Manage large-scale program budgets and individual event budgets Track actual expenses against forecasts and ensure effective cost controls Manage sourcing venues and event vendors for contracts, invoices, and billing for approval and execution Manage all contracted external vendors from preproduction through onsite execution to post-event wrap-up Coordinate with Event Finance Specialist on pass-through expense management and reconciliation Reporting & Continuous Improvement Track and report on SLAs, KPIs, and program performance metrics Gather feedback and event metrics such as attendance, estimated cost per person, and stakeholder satisfaction Deliver post-event reports within established timelines Conduct post-event debriefs, capture learnings, and drive continuous improvement Requirements: Senior-level employee event strategy and program/project manager with 10+ years of experience Must be a people leader with 5+ years of team management experience (global experience a plus) Proven enterprise experience Demonstrated experience managing a diverse portfolio of in-person, hybrid, and virtual events at scale Proven ability to develop event strategy and provide portfolio-level oversight across multiple concurrent programs Experience with global enterprise employee-centered gatherings and events Strong budget management, vendor management, and negotiation, and financial accountability skills Excellent stakeholder management skills at senior/executive levels Experience managing geographically distributed teams across multiple time zones Familiarity with Australian employment and compliance requirements Must be organized, detail-oriented, a self-starter, and proactive Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a highly complex matrix Ability to drive to tight deadlines Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting highly produced enterprise workplace events Experience with Swoogo registration platform Experience managing virtual events via Zoom Webinar Familiarity with company products (Jira, Confluence, Trello) Background in BPO or managed services delivery models Work Environment & Expectations: Sydney-based position (per client requirement) Regular collaboration with AMER and EMEA teams across time zones Travel required for events across APAC region On-site presence required during major event execution periods Location: Sydney, Australia Duration: Full-time, ongoing engagement Rate: Consultant of Crawford Group;
