This role offers strong oncology exposure and the opportunity to gain chemotherapy administration experience. Unit Overview 32-bed Hematology/Oncology Med/Tele unit Typical ratios: 1:5 (up to 1:6), adjusted for higher acuity All patients on telemetry monitoring Central monitor station support Charge RN (light assignment), House Supervisor onsite evenings/weekends No call requirement Every other weekend (may increase based on unit needs) Holiday rotation required 2 preceptor shifts structured unit orientation Clinical Highlights Hem/Onc and chemotherapy patients Oncology certification not required Manager willing to teach chemotherapy administration Must be comfortable with: Telemetry monitoring Central lines Chest tubes High-acuity med/surg patients Heparin drips (possible Amiodarone initiation before transfer) CPAP/BiPAP support (RT available) Floating required within Med/Surg units (within skillset) Requirements Active RN license (facility willing to wait) BLS required (ACLS for charge RNs only) Minimum 2 years RN experience At least 1 year at first RN position required Level 1 trauma or very large hospital experience required EPIC charting experience required Travel experience with extensions preferred BSN not required This is an excellent opportunity for a Telemetry RN seeking high-acuity oncology experience in a trauma-level facility with strong support and learning opportunities.
