53201BRCompany:General AtomicsJob Summary:We have an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Analyst to join our corporate ITS Cybersecurity Operations team located in San Diego (Rancho Bernardo), CA.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Primary Focus: Architect large-scale security enforcement frameworks, automate security solutions, and support enterprise-wide security initiatives. Focuses on deploying and configuring security enforcement technologies, with complex changes and advanced troubleshooting remaining under engineering responsibility. Additionally, this role takes on initial cybersecurity architecture responsibilities, contributing to security design, NIST-aligned reference architectures, and security capability development. This role is part of the Cybersecurity Engineering career track, focusing on security technology implementation, architecture, and strategic security enforcement solutions, independent of the analyst track. Security Policy Enforcement & Engineering: Lead security enforcement architecture efforts, drive enterprise security standardization, and develop scalable policy enforcement solutions. Responsible for designing and implementing security enforcement solutions in on-premise and cloud environments. After initial deployment, day-to-day management shifts to the Cybersecurity Defense Analyst team, with engineering providing support for major changes or upgrades. Technical Consulting & Business Support: Develop security engineering standards, provide subject matter expertise, and consult on enterprise security enforcement strategies. This role will provide on-site engineering support for cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business solutions. Cybersecurity Asset & Patch Management: Oversee vulnerability remediation strategies within security enforcement tools, ensuring timely patching. Complex Security Solution Development. Lead the design of scalable security enforcement solutions, integrating policy-based controls across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. Security System Implementation & Optimization: Ensure enterprise security enforcement technologies are optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability. Lead the design and implementation of security enforcement technologies. Once operational, these systems are transitioned to the defense analyst team for daily management, with engineering oversight for complex modifications. Collaboration with Cybersecurity Teams: Provide engineering support for security technologies, ensuring monitoring teams have the necessary visibility and analytics. Security Architecture & Standards Development: Develop security architecture patterns, ensure security enforcement technologies align with enterprise security standards, and contribute to NIST-aligned reference architectures. Future Security Vision & Capability Development: Define and support the evolution of enterprise security capabilities, ensuring emerging security technologies align with business objectives. Strategic Roadmap Development: Develop security technology roadmaps that support enterprise security enforcement, aligning with broader organizational security objectives. Reference Architecture & NIST Control Alignment: Ensure that security engineering solutions align with NIST 800-53 and other regulatory frameworks, contributing to the development of reference architectures. Career Progression: This track leads to advanced roles in security architecture, technology strategy, and enterprise security engineering leadership. Desired: Extensive experience in Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) technologies Desired: Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Possession of an AWS Associate certification or higher is preferred Relevant: Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Associate, Cisco CCNP, Palo Alto, M365 Security. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance.
