Job Summary Neato is looking for an AI-forward full stack developer with Amazon SP-API experience to help us build out our in-house suite of data products. As a member of Neato's tech team, you will be responsible for creating robust server-side applications and databases with a heavy emphasis on 3rd party Amazon API integrations. We expect you to leverage AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.) as a core part of your daily workflow, not as an afterthought, but as a force multiplier that lets you ship faster and think bigger. Qualifications & Competencies Core Development 4+ years experience developing software with the ability to create and maintain code from initial design to release 3+ years working with Amazon's SP-API services (MWS experience is a plus) Strong Python development experience (Django or FastAPI preferred) Knowledgeable of API creation, usage, integrations, and JSON manipulation Ability to create ETL pipelines and other forms of data ingestion Solid understanding of AWS services (Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS, etc.) Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational database systems and data architecture AI Tooling & Workflow Daily, active use of AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) as a core part of your development workflow Experience using LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) for code generation, debugging, architecture planning, and documentation Ability to write effective prompts and system instructions to get reliable, production-quality output from AI tools Comfort working in an AI-augmented development environment where speed of iteration and quality of AI-assisted output are valued Understanding of when AI tools add value and when manual engineering is the right call. You know how to review and validate AI-generated code, not just accept it blindly Mindset & Collaboration Effective at collaborating in a remote work environment Self-learner who actively experiments with emerging AI tools, frameworks, and development workflows Excitement about the opportunity to create from-scratch products that fulfill both customer and internal needs Comfortable with rapid iteration; you'd rather ship an AI-assisted MVP in days than spend weeks building manually Description of Responsibilities Act as Neato's technical go-to for things involving Amazon APIs Leverage AI coding tools to accelerate development velocity; write better code faster, automate boilerplate, and use AI for code review and refactoring Cross-collaborate with project stakeholders including product management, our multiple user bases, and the Neato tech team Be an active part of product design and enhancements, using AI prototyping tools to rapidly validate ideas Develop clean code that embodies stability, sustainability, and usability, whether written by you or generated by AI Work with a React front-end, Python back-end, and PostgreSQL database, as well as various AWS services Identify opportunities to integrate AI/ML features into Neato's products (intelligent pricing, demand forecasting, anomaly detection, etc.) Take on routine team practices such as frequent merge requests and peer code reviews Support existing code-stacks through continuous testing and troubleshooting Involvement in scrum-based project planning and road mapping • Bonus Points: Show Us Your AI Chops We're looking for developers who don't just use AI - they're building with it, shipping with it, and pushing its limits. Any of the following will make your application stand out: You've launched a project or product that was built primarily using AI-assisted development tools. Share the link! You have a public portfolio, GitHub repo, or demo showcasing AI-built or AI-enhanced applications You've built or integrated AI/ML features into a production product (chatbots, recommendation engines, intelligent automation, RAG pipelines, etc.) You maintain a blog, YouTube channel, or social presence where you share AI development workflows, tips, or tutorials Experience with LLM API integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI) in production applications You've experimented with or deployed AI agents, autonomous workflows, or multi-step LLM chains (LangChain, CrewAI, etc.) Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector) and RAG architectures You've contributed to open-source AI tools or published AI-related projects Experience building custom GPTs, Claude projects, or AI-powered internal tools that saved real time or money You can articulate how AI has changed your personal development velocity with specific before/after examples In your application, include links to any AI-built projects, demos, repos, or content.
