Details Work in a 28-bed Medical/Neuro-Stroke unit serving adult patients in a hospital setting Patient population includes neurological and stroke patients requiring telemetry monitoring Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 Unit is supported by PCTs, a Healthcare Unit Coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor techs for telemetry patients Night shift: 18:30–07:00 13-week contract Requirements Active OK RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Must possess a valid US Social Security Number and a US home address Driver's License required for consideration Two professional references required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, communicating patient condition, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and carrying out physician and nursing orders Discharge planning coordination with the healthcare team is an expected part of the role Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment are essential Standard precautions and appropriate use of personal protective equipment are required Local candidates are welcome to apply, though a radius rule applies — the travel pay rate may be reduced for candidates living within a certain distance of the facility; contact your recruiter for details COVID vaccination is not required by this facility American Traveler Job ID P-678845.
