First-timers accepted with a minimum of 1 year ECMO specialist experience. License: Current State License required. Pending licenses accepted but must be active at start. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, RRT required. Must-Have: Experience working with the ECMO machine. Will work every other weekend. On-call required as needed for the department. Will float as needed within scope to meet facility needs. Description: The position requires experience with the ECMO machine. The shift consists of three 12-hour night shifts. Occasionally, rotation to day shift may be required. Experience in adult critical care is necessary. Skills in airway management devices and suctioning are essential, including endotracheal tube suctioning, extubation, intubation assist, and more. Required care includes management of patients with ARDS, aspiration, bronchoscopy, ECMO, and pneumonia. Medication administration experience required includes albuterol, inhaled steroids, nitric oxide, and more. Experience with oxygen therapy and ventilator management is crucial. Candidates must be proficient in interpreting arterial blood gases and chest physiotherapy. Candidates will receive support from interdisciplinary teams and work in a fast-paced environment.
