Drive roll-off trucks: Safely operate roll-off trucks to collect and transport waste from various residential, commercial, and industrial sites. Customer interaction: Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and addressing concerns during pickups, ensuring customer satisfaction. Safety first: Follow all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others. Vehicle inspections: Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition, reporting any issues. Waste disposal: Properly load and unload waste at authorized disposal sites, including landfills and recycling centers. Documentation: Complete required paperwork, including daily logs, inspection forms, and waste manifests. Maintenance and cleanliness: Keep trucks clean and well-maintained to ensure the vehicle's longevity and presentation. Assist with roll-off bin placement: Help place or remove roll-off containers at customer sites when needed. Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or GED Valid Class A or B CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a clean driving record Proven experience driving roll-off trucks or other heavy-duty vehicles is a plus, but not required Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and DOT physical exam Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers in a professional manner Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in varying weather conditions Knowledge of safety regulations in the waste management industry preferred Experience with roll-off truck operations preferred Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting preferred Job type: Full-time Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts required based on the volume of routes and seasonal needs.
