Packaging And General Worker Linemark is looking for someone talented to fill the position of Packaging and General Worker. This position: Verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. Packaging of products to be shipped and coordination of transportation services. UPS, FedEx, DHL (and other 3rd Party Shippers) software is to be used effectively and understood for summary reporting on request. Dispatching drivers, which requires you to have some knowledge of the DMV area. Must be able to fill out bill of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers. Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements. General housekeeping, maintenance and organization of shipping areas. Requires hands-on cleaning and maintenance along with organization and interpersonal skills to coordinate with other departments. Prepares and expedites shipments. Determines labeling requirements including but not limited to: Assembling and packaging product cartons Preparing and affixing shipping labels on packed cartons, skids or other storage constructions in an accurate manner including any special labels that are required by the customer Examines outgoing product; rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with Dispatcher to address issues.
