Job Description

Front Desk Receptionist We are looking for a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our physical therapy clinic. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment while supporting daily administrative operations. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a genuine interest in patient care. Key Responsibilities: Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments Answer incoming calls, schedule/reschedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar Verify insurance information and collect co-pays or payments at time of service Maintain accurate patient records and update contact or insurance details as needed Handle patient intake paperwork and ensure all forms are completed correctly Communicate professionally with physical therapists and other staff to ensure smooth clinic operations Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area Process incoming and outgoing mail and faxes Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality at all times Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Prior experience as a receptionist, front desk associate, or administrative assistant (preferably in a healthcare or therapy setting) Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and patient scheduling is a plus Proficient with computer systems and basic software (Microsoft Office, EMR/EHR systems) Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment Hours: Mornings - 8 am to 12 pm Tuesdays to Fridays Preferred Skills: Experience with physical therapy or rehabilitation clinic workflows Familiarity with scheduling software (e.g., WebPT, Clinicient, or similar)
