About the Role: The Quality Assurance Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of our site quality systems, ensuring all cultivation, extraction, manufacturing, packaging, and distribution activities remain compliant with state regulations and internal standards. This role partners cross-functionally with Finance and Compliance to keep operations inspection-ready, proactively manage risk, and drive timely investigation and resolution of quality issues through effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Primary Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To: Maintain and control GMP style documentation including SOPs, batch records,sanitation logs, equipment cleaning logs, environmental logs, and packagingrecords Coordinate and track in process checks and release documentation for harvest,extraction runs, infused production, packaging, and labeling Partner with the Compliance to interpret requirements, close compliance gaps,and support state inspections and internal audits Manage quality complaints end to end for internal issues and external complaintsfrom retail and wholesale customers Provide clear feedback and status updates to internal stakeholders and customerfacing teams Drive containment actions including product holds, segregation, rework, scrap,destruction, customer quarantine guidance, and traceability check as needed Lead investigations and root cause analysis using structured methods such as 5Whys and fishbone and document findings Implement long term resolution through CAPA including corrective actions,preventive actions, verification of effectiveness, and closeout Support change control tied to corrective actions ensuring approvals, documentupdates, and training are complete before changes go live Coordinate sampling and COA flow with third party labs including chain ofcustody, submissions, results review routing, and lot release documentation Support traceability and reconciliation in METRC or BioTrack includingadjustments, waste events, lot genealogy, and recall readiness Assist with label and packaging compliance checks including warnings, potencydisplay rules, batch or lot codes, expiration or best by dating, and packageintegrity checks Maintain training records and support GMP compliance for production staff Skills and Qualifications: 2 to 5 years in QA, compliance, or regulated manufacturing with strong documentation control experience Working knowledge of GMP concepts and controlled document systems Experience with investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA Experience supporting in process checks, batch record review, and release documentation Familiarity with cannabis regulatory compliance, packaging and labeling requirements, and state track and trace systems (METRC or BioTrack) Strong written communication skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast moving production environment Experience in cannabis manufacturing, extraction, cultivation, or packaging operations is preferred Audit and inspection support experience including responding to findings and building readiness is valuable Experience coordinating third party lab sampling and COA review workflows is beneficial ISO quality system experience (ISO 9001 or similar) and or Six Sigma training or certification (Yellow Belt, Green Belt, or higher) is advantageous for this role Prior experience supporting recalls, quarantine, or product holds Ability to pass a Federal Background Check with no felony convictions Critical Competencies: Fast containment with minimal disruption to operations Clear root cause documentation and actions that prevent repeat issues Strong complaint handling that protects customers and the brand Inspection ready records, clean traceability, and on time lot release support Strong interpersonal skills Strong verbal communication skills High attention to detail Transparency in work and candor in communication Working Conditions and Physical Demands: Normal production environment across cultivation, extraction, manufacturing, packaging, and distribution areas May be exposed to extreme temperatures Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and perform routine floor presence Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance PPE required based on area including hair net, gloves, gowning, and safety eyewear Benefits: Competitive pay with opportunities for growth, development, and advancement.
