Hiring for a Customer Service Representative in Enfield! The Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in managing and resolving customer inquiries, handling orders, and addressing complaints. This in-person position is based in Enfield, CT, and does not offer remote work options. Responsibilities: Answer phone calls and respond to customer requests. Provide customers with detailed service information. Identify, research, and resolve customer issues using computer systems. Follow up on customer inquiries not immediately resolved. Research billing issues and misapplied payments. Transfer customer calls to the appropriate staff. Complete call logs and reports accurately. Sell services and place customer orders on the computer system. Recognize and document trends in customer calls, alerting the supervisor as necessary. Recommend process improvements. Provide training for newer customer service employees. Maintain punctual attendance consistent with company policies and legal standards. Adapt to changing duties based on business needs. Essential Skills: High-quality communication skills, both verbal and written. Excellent typing and data entry proficiency. Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to multitask efficiently. Detail-oriented and highly organized. Capability to learn and use customer service software. 1 to 3 years of office experience. Experience in customer service, particularly in the refuse industry, is a plus. Additional Skills & Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. Experience in customer service and the refuse industry is preferred. Work Environment: This position operates in a beautiful, newly renovated office, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Enfield, CT. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $21.00/hr.
