ABOUT THIS POSITION You'll join a mission-driven team dedicated to empowering human dignity. Though our Catholic faith guides our work, you do not have to be Catholic to join our team or receive services. As Microbusiness and Asset Development Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in strengthening local economic empowerment. You will: Expand and Enhance Microbusiness Development Oversee and develop programs that support emerging entrepreneurs and small business owners. Update and continually improve on the class curriculum and workbooks, manage a team of contracted instructors, and expand the classes. Increase the geographic footprint of the entrepreneurial classes both in Omaha and via the Catholic Charities network. Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to secure ongoing funding and resources. Champion Economic Empowerment Serve as an advocate for individuals striving to establish or expand small businesses, especially in underserved communities. Identify and cultivate new partnerships with businesses, local government agencies, and nonprofit organizations to broaden support networks for clients. Promote public awareness of microbusiness and asset development initiatives, highlighting program successes and participant stories. Transform past participants into an active support community for future entrepreneurs. Lead and Supervise a Dedicated Team Ensuring operational stability through a reliable pool of instructors and industry-specific mentor volunteers. Coordinate grant activities, data collection, and reporting to ensure compliance and measure outcomes effectively. Foster an environment of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration. WHAT YOU BRING Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus. Experience: At least two years of professional experience in microenterprise development, economic empowerment programs, community development, or related areas (preferred). Leadership Skills: Demonstrated success in supervising or coaching teams, managing programs, and working cross-functionally to achieve goals. Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of business planning, financial analysis, and funding mechanisms. Collaboration & Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to foster positive relationships with diverse stakeholders. Commitment: Passionate about serving vulnerable populations with cultural competency and empathy. Language Skills: Bilingual (Spanish/English) is highly preferred. WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE Office Collaboration: Work on-site at our local campuses (both 9223 Bedford Ave and 5211 S 31st). Program Management: Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of microbusiness and asset development initiatives. Community Outreach: Schedule and conduct group workshops, networking events, and additional classes. Some evenings or weekends may be required to meet community needs. Continuous Improvement: Review and refine program strategies based on data, participant feedback, and community input.
