Pro Shop Staff - Seasonal

Position Summary: The Pro Shop Staff is responsible for providing exceptional customer  service to members and guests while ensuring the smooth daily operation of the Pro Shop.  This role supports golf operations through merchandise sales, tee time reservations, event  coordination, and general administrative and operational tasks.  Key Responsibilities  Member & Guest Service  • Greet members and guests promptly and courteously, creating a welcoming  environment.  • Provide information regarding course conditions, rules, upcoming events, and  promotions.  • Assist players with tee time scheduling, check-in, and payment processing.  Merchandise & Sales  • Maintain product displays, ensuring merchandise is neatly organized and appealing.  • Process sales transactions accurately through the POS system.  • Assist with inventory control, including receiving, tagging, restocking, and  conducting periodic counts.  Golf Operations Support  • Coordinate with starters, rangers, and outside operations staff to ensure smooth pace  of play.  • Prepare and distribute scorecards, cart keys, and rental equipment.  • Assist with tournament preparations, scoring, and event-day operations.  Facility & Equipment Maintenance  • Keep Pro Shop, storage areas, and workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked.  • Report any maintenance, safety, or supply issues promptly to the Golf Pro or  manager.  Administrative & Compliance Duties  • Answer phones and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.  • Enforce club rules, policies, and dress code standards.  • Follow all cash-handling, safety, and operational procedures. Qualifications  Required:  • Strong customer service and communication skills.  • Basic computer and POS system proficiency.  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.  Preferred:  • Previous experience in golf operations, retail, or hospitality.  • Knowledge of golf etiquette, rules, and terminology.  Physical Requirements  • Ability to stand for extended periods.  • Lift and carry up to 30 lbs. (e.g., merchandise boxes, golf bags).  • Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.  Work Schedule & Compensation  • Seasonal position; schedule varies based on club events and operational needs.  • Hourly pay rate as determined in the offer letter.
