THE OPPORTUNITY We seek a self-driven and collaborative individual who's eager to learn and grow. As a Marketing Analytics Intern, you will assist our team with business analysis and customer intelligence initiatives. WHAT YOU'LL DO Monitor and analyze essential business indicators, summarizing weekly and monthly trends along with their potential impacts. Integrate external time-series data with our customer and transaction information to gain comprehensive insights. Conduct customer analytics, including cohort analysis, segmentation, retention, churn, and customer lifetime value (CLV) assessments. Develop dashboards and automated reports that provide critical insights to stakeholders in Finance and Marketing. Create clean and reproducible analysis pipelines, which include queries and notebooks, along with thorough documentation. Support forecasting efforts by building and comparing baseline and macro-adjusted scenarios. Present findings clearly using narratives, visuals, and actionable recommendations. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN How macroeconomic shifts influence demand patterns, customer retention, and unit economics. Practical skills in forecasting, experimentation, and segmentation within a business context. The art of executive-level storytelling, transforming analysis into decisions and actions. Best practices in data management, reproducibility, and effective communication with stakeholders. WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE Qualifications (must-have) Currently pursuing a BA/BS in Economics, Business, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. Strong foundation in statistics and econometrics, including regression analysis and hypothesis testing. Proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel or Google Sheets, along with SQL or a willingness to learn. Experience with Python or R for data analysis. Data visualization skills using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Python/R visualization libraries. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain methods and assumptions. Nice to have Familiarity with propensity modeling. Experience with customer analytics concepts such as cohorts, CLV, churn, segmentation, and A/B testing. Understanding of macroeconomic indicators and their sources, including how they are constructed. Tools you might use SQL (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift), Python or R, Excel/Sheets. Data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, Git, and Jupyter or RMarkdown. PAY TRANSPARENCY The pay rate is $30 per hour, contingent on your skills, experience, and education.
