Finance Assistant Director

Join our dedicated team as the Finance Assistant Director, where you will collaborate closely with the Director of Finance and the Community Leadership Team to enhance and support our financial operations. This role is crucial in maintaining accounting controls, analyzing financial reports, and addressing the financial needs of our operations. You will also assist with audit and compliance functions, help manage business risks, and play a key role in the development of our accounting team. Growth opportunities as we expand our communities and develop our team. Compensation: $100,000 - 110,000 per year, plus eligibility for annual bonuses. How you will make an impact: As the Finance Assistant Director, you will assist the Director of Finance in various key areas: Recruit, train, and develop accounting personnel. Conduct timely evaluations for team members and approve salary adjustments, ensuring compliance with wage guidelines. Review and finalize financial statements for management and external reporting. Oversee the review of tax return schedules and related matters. Develop and implement procedures to meet the business planning needs and provide quarterly updates for the Community. Analyze monthly financial statements and reports to identify critical issues, trends, risks, and opportunities. Provide business and financial support to the Executive Director, Director of Operations, and the Community Management Team. Perform internal audit and compliance testing in line with the Audit/Compliance Plan. Oversee special projects as requested by management. What you will need: A minimum of 7 years of experience in a related field, with at least 5 years in a management or supervisory role. CPA certification is preferred.
