Educational Background A Bachelor's Degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health education along with preparedness for ASCP/AMT certification. Certification Requirements Obtain ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within the first year of employment. Maintain current certification throughout your tenure.
