Overview: Join a collaborative multidisciplinary health team as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) providing primary care and women's health services. This role involves working closely with sponsoring physicians and healthcare staff to deliver comprehensive patient care in a supportive environment within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest. Key Responsibilities: Fiscal Responsibility: Maintain accurate and legible medical records, demonstrate proficiency with clinical computer systems including billing and meaningful use, manage time and supplies efficiently, and support cost-effective care initiatives. Provide technical and scientific oversight when supervising the onsite laboratory as a technical consultant. Quality Assurance: Establish and confirm medical diagnoses, order and interpret laboratory and imaging tests, prescribe medications, and manage follow-up care. Collaborate with physicians to ensure positive patient outcomes and contribute to quality improvement initiatives through data analysis and education. Patient Satisfaction: Develop and adjust patient care plans based on assessments and diagnostic findings, provide direct patient education and counseling, and assist with referrals to specialists or community resources. Foster positive relationships with patients and represent the healthcare organization at community events. Patient Safety: Oversee patient safety efforts, ensuring care is appropriate for all developmental stages. Conduct comprehensive health assessments and collaborate with healthcare teams to evaluate and manage patient risk. Professional Growth: Engage in peer review, competency evaluations, and continuing education to maintain and enhance clinical skills. Provide constructive feedback and participate in performance evaluations. Customer Service: Uphold high standards of customer service, demonstrating compassion, respect, and effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues. Be accessible for laboratory consultation as needed. Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required for new hires. Proficiency with computer systems is essential. Licensure and Certifications: Current active Registered Nurse licensure by the state nursing board. Certified APRN credential required for new hires.
