HR Assistant We are seeking an HR Assistant to play a crucial role in supporting our human resources department by managing administrative tasks and facilitating smooth HR operations. This position is responsible for maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. The HR Assistant acts as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and helps coordinate training sessions and employee engagement activities. By efficiently handling day-to-day HR functions, the HR Assistant contributes to creating a positive work environment and supports the overall organizational goals. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams across the company. Key Responsibilities Support onboarding requirements and checklists for new hires or rehires including preparing orientation materials and coordinating with relevant departments. Maintain and update employee records in HR databases and physical files to ensure accuracy and confidentiality. Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, doing pre-screen interviews, working with departments with potential candidates, and communicating with candidates. Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner. Coordinate and assist with employee training sessions, and performance evaluations. Coordinate and assist with company events. May be asked to collaborate with other members to improve processes and enhance employee experiences. Miscellaneous duties as assigned. Qualifications Human Resources or related field. Proven experience in an Administrative Role, preferably in HR. Associate's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. Basic understanding of HR principles. Skills The HR Assistant utilizes strong organizational skills daily to manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently, ensuring that employee records and recruitment processes are accurate and up to date. Communication skills are essential for interacting with employees, candidates, and team members, providing clear and professional responses to inquiries and facilitating smooth onboarding experiences. Proficiency in software tools like Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms enables the HR Assistant to prepare reports, track applicant data, and support payroll functions effectively. Attention to detail is critical when handling confidential information and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. Additionally, problem-solving and interpersonal skills help the HR Assistant contribute positively to team collaboration and employee engagement initiatives. Additional Requirements Ability to pass a drug test as part of a drug-free workplace policy. Work Schedule Schedule is Monday through Friday. Salary and Benefits Pay Range: Starting wage aligns with local and is commensurate with experience, versatility, and additional skills. Benefits: Medical-partial percentage paid by the company after 60 days, Dental and vision and other ancillary insurance after 60 days, 401K with a company match after 6 months of employment, Vesting PTO immediately, available for use after 90 days, 90-day probation period.
