Patient Service Specialist A Patient Service Specialist will play a very key role in the success of the facility and the patient's overall experience. Strict adherence to organizational Protocols and Values is a must. A Patient Service Specialist will work in a fast-paced and exciting environment and apply their skills in a highly visible and critical role. GEMD provides non-hospital-based emergency care in a hyper-efficient delivery of Emergency Medicine Specialty Services combined with an outpatient facility efficiently providing high quality care that can yield lower ER visits, lower hospital admissions, and create savings. Getting authorization from insurance companies. Putting together patient charts. Scheduling patient appointments. Collecting copays and contracted rates from patients. Coordinating admissions. Auditing charts for completeness and obtaining any missing information from the clinical team. Follow the information security policies and management system, contributing to their effectiveness, and actively reporting on their performance. Qualifications This position does not currently have supervisory responsibilities. High School diploma or equivalent required. This position does not currently have financial responsibilities. Legibly write English, clearly speak English and proficiently read English. Bilingual Spanish is preferred. Up to 30% travel to support clinic operations across the market. Travel may include coverage at other clinic locations, trainings, meetings, and other operational needs as they arise.
