A healthcare setting is seeking experienced Respiratory Therapists (RRT or CRT) with strong expertise in NICU and PICU populations for contract opportunities at a large regional medical center in Casselton, ND. This role offers the chance to provide critical respiratory care within a dynamic environment that balances neonatal, pediatric, and adult patient populations. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience, including level 4 NICU skills such as high-frequency ventilation (Jet & HFOV), nitric oxide administration, and managing high-risk deliveries (gestational ages 22 weeks and above). Candidates must hold NBRC credentials as an RRT or CRT and current certifications in BLS (AHA), NRP, and PALS (AHA). An active ND state license or readiness to apply within 72 hours of offer acceptance is required. ACLS certification is preferred. Responsibilities include comprehensive cardiopulmonary assessments, ventilation management (invasive and non-invasive), blood gas analysis, airway procedures (intubations, trach changes, decannulation, extubations), emergency response, participation in ICU rounds, patient transport, and involvement in high-risk deliveries. Therapists utilize advanced equipment such as Epic for documentation, Hamilton ventilators, nitric oxide delivery systems, and various CPAP and monitoring devices. The position involves rotating 8- and 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday rotations, including options for weekend-only or straight night schedules. Shifts include coverage in adult ICU, NICU, PICU, and general floors with a collaborative team structure ensuring support on all shifts. Opportunities exist to cross-train and float to other hospital campuses as needed. Orientation includes lab training and preceptored clinical shifts.
