This opportunity is perfect for an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) who is ready to provide exceptional patient care in a unique, smaller hospital environment. The role focuses on circulating and supporting patients before and after cardiac procedures within a state-of-the-art Hybrid Cath Lab setting featuring advanced technology comparable to large academic centers. Location: Situated in Gypsum, Colorado, this position offers the chance to spend your summer surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Colorado Rockies. Gypsum provides a welcoming small-town atmosphere with easy access to outdoor recreational activities, including hiking, skiing, and fishing. The hospital serves as the only 24/7 Cath Lab on the Western Slope, offering a vital cardiovascular service to the community. Key Responsibilities: Deliver quality nursing care during preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures Coordinate patient care following established ANA Standards of Nursing Practice Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure efficient Cath Lab operations Participate in rotating weekend shifts, evening/weekend on-call duties, and maintain responsiveness within a 30-minute callback radius Qualifications: Active Colorado RN license, Compact RN license, or eligibility to obtain one Valid BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association Minimum of 3 years of RN Cath Lab/EP experience required Experience with vascular access and/or cardiovascular OR procedures is highly desirable Schedule: Full-time commitment with four 10-hour shifts per week Rotating weekends and on-call responsibilities Additional Information: This is a contract assignment suited for RNs whose permanent residence is at least 75 miles from Gypsum, Colorado.
