Job Title: Production Manager Location: Cottage Grove, MN Reports to: General Manager Position Objective / Summary: The Production Manager is an experienced leader responsible for the efficient and effective operations of the Duracard/Plastic Resources Inc. manufacturing facility, fulfilling all sales orders through the factory on time and with high quality. In partnership with the management team, the Production Manager will facilitate growth, prepare the company to adapt to new markets, and maintain a standard of excellence throughout all facets of the production process. This includes developing and leading a team to produce quality products and fulfill sales orders in a timely manner, ensuring proper inventory and materials, and maintaining production and facility equipment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Team Management & Leadership Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including hiring and training employees, assigning and directing work, addressing issues and resolving problems, inspiring employees to do their best work and recognizing them for doing so. Supervise, communicate, and delegate responsibilities, duties, tasks, and plans to Production Team Leaders to ensure the production of the highest quality products at the lowest possible cost. Appraise performance of Production Operators against goals, plans, and similar standards. Provide encouragement, additional training, and constructive feedback as appropriate. Materials Management Raw Materials: Ordering, IQC, Supplier Management, Inventory Finished Goods: Inventory & Shipping & RMA Equipment & Facility Management Maintenance, Vendor Management, Growth & Investment Plan/ROI Cases Maintain facility equipment and cleanliness, both interior and exterior Shipping: Manage the shipping department and external vendor relationships Process and Reporting Develop manufacturing processes (IQC/OQC/OEE/CAR & ECO/etc.) to ensure QCDs are met. Utilize IT systems for reporting to Senior Management on manufacturing performance: production rates, exceptions, inventory, etc. Make recommendations for process improvement and implements approved recommendations. Ensure safety procedures are in place and consistently followed by all staff. Occasionally assist in Production Operator duties as necessary to ensure that all tasks in the department are completed Attend internal meetings for sharing priorities, updates, best practices, etc. Requirements Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and or ability required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. (equivalent experience may be considered.)
