Job Description

Logistics Coordinator The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in managing the movement of goods from origin to destination, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently, safely, and in alignment with customer requirements. This role is responsible for coordinating daily logistics operations, optimizing transportation routes, scheduling pickups and deliveries, and serving as a central communication point between customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams. Primary Responsibilities Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material?handling equipment. Prepare and process outbound shipping documentation for domestic and international orders while ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and inventory accuracy. Track shipments from multiple locations, provide updates, create pre?alerts, and maintain accurate records within logistics systems and departmental inboxes. Review vendor routing guides, resolve discrepancies, investigate overages/shortages/damages (OS&D), and support Trade Compliance requests. Communicate frequently with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal partners to provide shipment updates, quote transportation costs, and troubleshoot service issues. Collaborate with internal teams and external logistics partners (including 3PL/4PL/5PL providers) to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods. Monitor logistics performance metrics, escalate urgent "HOT" loads, and continuously improve processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Maintain workplace safety and cleanliness by following 5S practices and adhering to all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies. Skills & Qualifications Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast?paced environment. Excellent communication, problem?solving, and customer?service skills. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Knowledge of transportation regulations, customs requirements, and general logistics principles. Proficiency with logistics systems such as TMS and WMS. Ability to interpret work instructions, respond to inquiries, and maintain accurate documentation. Physical ability to bend, lift up to 50 lbs., and operate material?handling equipment safely.
