Mainframe Engineer

Hello All, I hope you're doing well. Role: Mainframe Engineer Location: Hybrid(2 days per week on site in Riverdale, MD) Desired contract length: 1 year, renewable for up to 3 years. Type: C2C/W2 Client: State of Maryland Jod Description: We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with at least 5 years of expertise in COBOL, CICS, TSO, and JCL. The need is for 40hrs per week in a hybrid environment requiring a minimum for 2 days per week on site in Riverdale, MD. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in COBOL and CICS, with experience in writing and maintaining JCL for batch job processing. Familiarity with CA-IDEAL and CA Datacomm is a plus. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential. The role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing mainframe applications, troubleshooting issues, optimizing code, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Other tasks and duties within this scope that arise may also be assigned.
