Description Join us as a vital facilitator: connecting people, enabling communication, and bridging gaps in healthcare access. The Field Reimbursement Manager will be responsible for managing designated accounts within a defined geographic area. This role involves executing strategic plans through collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, which may include call center services, sales, market access, and partnerships. You will act as a reimbursement subject matter expert, delivering educational support throughout the reimbursement process, assisting with formulary coverage, insurance forms, benefits investigation, prior authorization, appeals, and claims resolution. Your Core Responsibilities Include: Act as the primary reimbursement contact for assigned accounts, addressing requests efficiently. Serve as a payer expert, interpreting and communicating changes in Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial plans to key stakeholders promptly. Provide education and support to prescribing physicians and their staff on reimbursement, coding, and patient access issues, including: Benefit verification Prior authorization requirements Appeals processes Claims submission and denial troubleshooting Site of Care considerations (Buy and Bill) CPT, HCPCS/J-codes, ICD-10, diagnosis codes Assist with claims resolution, including underpayments, denials, and documentation requests. Track payer challenges, report access trends, and escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams as needed. Maintain detailed documentation of reimbursement cases and trends to identify recurring access barriers. Manage multiple reimbursement cases simultaneously while meeting service-level expectations. Cross-Functional Interaction: Collaborate virtually and in-person when necessary with internal partners to: Share payer insights and address recurring reimbursement challenges Support consistent messaging related to access pathways Provide timely updates on case status and resolution outcomes using approved internal tools. Participate in internal meetings and trainings to align reimbursement strategies and product updates. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: BA/BS degree 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry 1+ years in field reimbursement Ability to resolve access issues in specialty pharmacy channels Experience in oncology is a plus, but not required Willingness to travel 15% - 80% virtually and 15% live The annual base salary for this position ranges from $145,000 to $160,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high for this position at Syneos Health. Actual salary will vary based on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and experience.
