Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Discipline: RN Start Date: 03/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 4x10hrs Hours: 40 hrs/wk Start Date: Mar 30, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with EP/Cath experience for a 13-week travel contract, working 4x10-hour day shifts with on-call responsibilities. Details Located in an acute care hospital with 304 staffed beds Assignment in the Cath Lab department 1:1 patient ratio Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM On-call is required: one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per month and one weekday call shift per week; call requirements may change based on staffing needs No floating between service lines or sister facilities Charting is done in Epic Hospital-issued scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff Parking is available at no cost; garage clearance is limited to average-sized SUVs and trucks Requirements Active SC RN license or Compact RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have the license active prior to start Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab/EP nursing experience required EP and Cath Lab experience specifically required Radiation badge required; must be provided by the candidate's agency — the facility does not supply radiation badges to travelers SSN and Driver's License required for consideration 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are accepted for this position Previous permanent or PRN staff of any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler Non-local candidates are prioritized; local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) may be considered on a case-by-case basis Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs Onboarding modules are completed prior to the assignment start date Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September American Traveler Job ID #P-679469.
