Position Description The Driver supports reliable transportation and logistics operations by safely operating company vehicles and transporting materials, equipment, and personnel across Applied Medical locations. This role ensures timely delivery of company goods, interoffice materials, and passengers while maintaining compliance with transportation safety regulations and company standards. The Driver contributes to efficient internal logistics, distribution operations, and facilities support by performing vehicle inspections, cargo handling, and route coordination. Key Responsibilities Operate company vehicles including bobtails, flatbeds, pickup trucks, passenger vehicles, and cargo vans to transport goods, materials, and personnel safely and efficiently. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety standards and regulatory requirements. Secure cargo, load and unload materials, and complete driver logs and transportation documentation accurately. Maintain company vehicles in accordance with safety standards, maintenance schedules, and company policies. Transport company goods between facilities, distribute interoffice mail, and shuttle team members as needed to support operations. Maneuver trucks and vehicles into loading and unloading positions within dock and warehouse areas safely and efficiently. Utilize material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock pickers to support loading, unloading, and internal logistics. Collaborate with facilities, logistics, and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate transportation services. Success in This Role Looks Like Maintain safe driving practices and full compliance with transportation safety and regulatory standards. Ensure timely and accurate transport of materials, equipment, and passengers across company locations. Complete vehicle inspections, logs, and documentation accurately and consistently. Support efficient loading, unloading, and distribution operations that minimize delays and disruptions. Demonstrate strong customer service and professionalism when interacting with internal teams and passengers. Contribute to a collaborative logistics and transportation team that supports operational efficiency and reliability. Position RequirementsThis position requires the following skills and attributes: Demonstrate a minimum of two years of on-the-road driving, loading, and unloading truck experience in a professional environment. Maintain a valid driver's license, which may include a Class C commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements. Demonstrate knowledge of California Basic Inspection of Terminals (CALBIT), Department of Transportation (DOT), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Employer Pull Notice (EPN), and related transportation regulations and practices. Meet medical requirements established by the Department of Transportation (DOT). Demonstrate ability to read, write, and communicate in English as required for safety regulations and job responsibilities. Demonstrate experience operating material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, turrets, scissor lifts, and stock pickers. Perform physical tasks including lifting, pulling, pushing, balancing, walking, and climbing throughout the workday. Demonstrate strong customer service skills and professionalism when supporting internal teams and passengers. Demonstrate ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
