Job Summary and Qualifications As a Computed Tomography Technologist, you will operate CT equipment under supervision, ensuring safe positioning of patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic imaging. Essential Functions: Efficiently operate CT equipment while adjusting both equipment and patient positioning for optimal imaging. Process and reconstruct imaging data, assessing scan quality for diagnostic adequacy. Monitor patient safety during procedures, providing first aid as needed, and consult with physicians on any concerns. Perform clerical duties related to patient records and imaging requisitions. Maintain accurate imaging logs and data records. Deliver outstanding customer service through professional interactions with patients. Use immobilization tools to secure patient comfort and correct positioning. Stay updated on advancements in CT technology through educational resources. Follow strict sterile techniques and maintain cleanliness in work areas. Adhere to radiation safety standards and participate in quality improvement programs. Accurately report hours worked in line with hospital policies. Other duties as required. Required Licensure/Certifications: ARRT(R) certification Texas Medical Board certification as a Medical Radiologic Technologist Current CPR certification ARRT(CT) credential (preferred) Required Education/Experience: High School Graduate or equivalent Associates degree in Radiologic Technology Preferred Knowledge and Skills: Extensive knowledge in anatomy and radiographic techniques. Understanding of radiographic physics and medical terminology. Ability to assess and adjust exposure factors for optimal imaging. Skill in evaluating and improving imaging techniques. Proficient in safe operation of CT equipment. Commitment to developing innovative techniques to enhance department services.
