This opportunity is suitable for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least two years of respiratory therapy experience, including critical care and neonatal intensive care settings. The position involves working primarily with adult care patients and NICU cases, but no pediatric patients. Candidates must hold active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications, as well as a valid NC Respiratory Therapist license. Work schedule includes 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with every other weekend rotation and a requirement to cover approximately 75% of holidays. On-call and call back duties are not required. Flexibility to float within the designated regional facilities is essential, with travel time compensated during floating assignments. Orientation consists of a new employee orientation plus two days of departmental training. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive respiratory care across multiple settings including CVICU, NICU, ED, progressive care, and general floor therapies. Utilize advanced respiratory equipment such as servo ventilators, Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, and bubble CPAP. Chart and maintain patient records using the EPIC electronic medical record system. Collaborate closely with respiratory care leadership and nursing teams, demonstrating teamwork and adherence to facility culture and values. Support patients in a busy environment managing over 300 patient encounters daily.
