A Medical Lab Technician (MLT) opportunity is available in Grand Haven, MI, seeking a skilled professional to provide high-quality laboratory services in a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract position offers a unique shift pattern of 7 days on, 7 days off, with hours from 8:30 pm to 7:00 am, Wednesday through Tuesday. Candidates who can provide coverage during holiday periods within this schedule are highly desired. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and specialized medical laboratory tests with precision and adherence to protocols Ensure accurate specimen collection, analysis, and reporting in compliance with quality standards Operate and maintain laboratory instruments efficiently, including familiarity with Meditech systems Collaborate with medical staff to deliver timely and reliable diagnostic information Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations and confidentiality requirements Qualifications and Desired Experience: Certification as a Medical Lab Technician (MLT), with ASCP certification preferred Proven experience in a clinical laboratory environment, ideally utilizing Meditech Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality control, and safety standards Ability to work independently during night shifts and adapt to the 7 on/7 off schedule Excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure seamless lab operations Location Insight: Grand Haven, Michigan, is a charming lakeside city known for its scenic beauty and friendly community.
