We are seeking a Full-TimeInfection Control Nurse. Brief Job Summary forRegistered Nurse Infection Control Nurse Under the direction of theDirector of Nursing Services, the Infection Preventions serves as asupport person within the facility, providing guidance and education;assistance in problem solving related to resident care; monitoringcompliance with state and federal regulations and coordinates theInfection Prevention and Control Program as set forth in the ResidentCare Policy and Procedure Manual. Providesdirective and supportive consultation to facility staff. Partnerswith the Medical Director, Executive Director and Director of Nursingto develop, implement, and evaluate annual infection prevention goalsand plan. Overseesthe Infection Prevention and Control Program including surveillanceof healthcare acquired and community acquired infections Conductsinfection surveillance and reports routinely to the Quality AssuranceCommittee Directsand assists in preparing reports, statistical data, and trendidentification for the QA committee. Workswith facility for problem solving when needs arise in areas such as: Monitoringresident care delivery systems Performingchart reviews CheckingPhysician Orders as needed Provideseducation and training regarding infection prevention and controlpractices to all staff. Includes evidence-based infection controlpractices and isolation precautions. Qualificationsrequired of Registered Nurse Infection Control Nurse Graduateof an accredited school of nursing and must possess current licenseto practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Mississippi. Musthave Infection Preventionist Certification Musthave TB skin test administration Certification Musthave current CPR certification.
