Are you ready to challenge your limits and make a meaningful impact in the evolving financial landscape? At Coinbase, we strive to enhance economic freedom globally. This massive vision requires driven individuals who are eager to innovate in the on-chain platform space and contribute to the future of the global financial system. We are looking for a passionate Product Manager who believes in the transformative power of crypto and blockchain technology. If you're someone who thrives under pressure, appreciates working with top-tier colleagues, and seeks continuous improvement through feedback, we want to hear from you. Join us in tackling the toughest challenges and shaping the future. Our work environment is fast-paced and may not be suitable for everyone. However, if you're excited about building the future alongside exceptionally talented professionals, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Team/ Role As part of the Travel Rule team, you will oversee an essential global regulation that mandates sharing customer information for crypto transactions above certain thresholds. Coinbase’s TRUST (Travel Rule Universal Solution Technology) is the leading solution in this space, with over 100 VASP members including major exchanges. As the Direct Responsible Individual (DRI) for the Travel Rule, you'll manage the Travel Rule Platform, which includes APIs and backend infrastructure, in close partnership with Consumer and Institutional Product Groups (PGs) responsible for front-end experiences. Your goal will be to enhance TRUST's market presence against competitors like Notabene and Sumsub. What You'll Be Doing: Lead the Travel Rule strategy and implementation across the company as the single-threaded DRI, collaborating with Consumer and Institutional PGs on their front-end initiatives. Expand TRUST’s market reach by onboarding new VASPs, enhancing network and asset support, while spearheading go-to-market strategies. Oversee the Travel Rule Platform’s APIs and backend systems that will be integrated by Consumer and Institutional teams. Support international growth by accommodating new entities and their jurisdiction-specific compliance needs (e.g., India, EU, UK). Bolster TRUST's privacy and security measures to reinforce Coinbase's reputation as the 'Most Trusted' service provider in the market. Ensure program health and alignment among stakeholders across a complex multi-PG framework. What We Look For: 5+ years of product management experience. Proven experience in developing platform or API products that facilitate integration by other teams. Ability to foster cross-functional collaboration across multiple stakeholders without direct oversight of the end-to-end user experience. Experience with compliance, regulatory, or risk-focused products in fintech or financial services. Strong analytical expertise and capability to define success metrics. Business development or partnership experience is preferred. Nice to Haves: Background in crypto, blockchain, or AML/KYC practices. Experience with open source or industry-wide standards and protocols. Familiarity with operating in international teams across various time zones. Understanding of payment networks or platforms. Experience with self-custody wallets or stablecoins. Job# P69685 Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual base salary for this role may range from $180,370 to $212,000 USD. Please note that each candidate may apply a maximum of four times within a 30-day period. We encourage you to reflect on how your skills and aspirations align with Coinbase's mission before applying.
