Our Transportation Construction, Engineering, and Inspection group caters to a variety of clients, including federal, public, private, and international organizations. The Senior Roadway and Bridge Construction Inspector Specialist will take charge of inspecting and monitoring construction activities across various project sites. You will conduct intricate inspections in several areas of construction, including Roadway, Bridges, Drainage, Erosion & Control, and Maintenance & Traffic, often working independently or with limited supervision based on your expertise. Primary Responsibilities: Execute both complex and routine inspections of construction activities to guarantee compliance with plans, specifications, and industry standards. Employ advanced equipment and perform detailed calculations to ensure thorough inspections. Prepare meticulously for inspections by reviewing construction drawings and specifications. Comprehend the design features of projects under inspection and document your findings clearly for your supervisor's review. Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Certifications from a State Highway Agency or National Entity (e.g., ACI or NICET) in earthwork, asphalt, and concrete as required. Valid driver's license. 8 years of relevant experience; equivalent additional directly related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as needed. Job Site Location: United States - Nationwide Amount of Travel Required: 20% Assignment Category: Fulltime-Regular Visa Sponsorship Available: No Skills and Abilities: Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Intermediate knowledge of mathematics, including geometry and trigonometry. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Adaptability to new technologies and rapidly learning associated applications. Advanced understanding of highway construction materials and methodologies. Ability to read and interpret complex construction plans and specifications. Potential to lead and mentor junior inspectors. Pay Range Minimum: $34.68 Pay Range Maximum: $57.23 Additional Compensation: Bonuses are discretionary and may vary based on position. Work Location Options: 100% fieldwork required.
