About the Role: The Industrial Security Team Supervisor/Senior Facility Security Officer (FSO) will play a pivotal role in advancing and maintaining Galois' industrial security program while ensuring compliance with company and customer security requirements. This dynamic leader will guide a team of security professionals across various Galois locations and engage with personnel at all levels within Galois and government management to ensure adherence to National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), Contract Security Classification Specifications (DD254), and Program Classification Guides. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, capable of leading a distributed team, and adept at working independently with minimal supervision. The FSO will have the confidence to make critical security decisions regarding high-value contracts while implementing security procedures that prevent unauthorized access to sensitive facilities and information. Responsibilities include conducting security self-inspections, applying risk mitigation strategies, supporting customer assessments, and executing security measures to meet evolving needs. Key Responsibilities: Report directly to Galois' General Counsel and senior executives concerning security matters throughout the organization. Lead and collaborate with other FSOs to establish and uphold security requirements across all Galois facilities. Provide direction and oversight to other Galois functions on security-related issues. Manage and ensure compliance with the industrial security program at Galois' Arlington, VA facility in accordance with NISPOM and other secure areas, including maintaining accreditation documentation. Utilize 32 CFR 2001.53 and other technical specifications to design new secure spaces or develop security plans based on accreditation status and Sponsor requirements. Safeguard COMSEC information and manage cryptographic key updates. Assist IT staff in maintaining accreditation documentation for all IT systems within secure areas and rectify any deficiencies. Implement OPSEC plans as necessary. Conduct security self-inspections and apply risk mitigation methodologies. Manage Personnel Security processing actions for clearances. Oversee visitor management and escort duties for uncleared personnel. Develop and administer a security education training program for Galois staff. Implement corrective measures in response to security incidents or vulnerabilities. Support technical staff through coordination and visitor management. Key Qualifications: 8 to 10 years of experience in Industrial Security, Special Programs, and information security management. 5 to 7 years of experience in leading a security team. Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required before starting. Willingness to pursue a polygraph if needed. Professional, independent, and able to effectively lead and collaborate with team members and personnel both within and outside the security department. Strong organizational, communication, time management, and multitasking skills. In-depth knowledge of implementing 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and physical security for collateral Restricted Areas. Hands-on experience with security databases such as NISS, DISS, and eAPP. Experience in creating and delivering security briefings and training sessions. Ability to develop an effective security awareness and training program, especially for foreign visitors. Experience influencing technical and non-technical personnel on security policies and practices. Strong communication skills to convey security and risk concepts to diverse audiences. Completion of required FSO training courses with certification from DCSA. Experience in Special Programs and Sensitive Compartmented Information operations. Willingness to travel to other Galois locations as necessary. Preferred Qualifications: Prior ISSO/ISSM experience. CPSO and CSSO training certificates. Understanding of security requirements for OSS, SAP, and SCIF areas. Experience managing compliance for Special Access Programs and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities. Location: This position requires in-person work at Galois' office in Arlington, VA, at Ballston Metro Center.
