Job Description

Summary: We are representing a leading specialty concrete contractor with more than 20 years of service throughout Woodland Park and the Colorado Springs area. With a strong portfolio of repeat customers across both residential and commercial markets, they are seeking an experienced Concrete Estimator to join their preconstruction team. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates while collaborating with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure proposals meet the highest standards of quality and precision. Key Responsibilities: Review, organize, and analyze project documents including plans, specifications, and addenda Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for concrete, rebar, formwork, voids, and related scopes using estimating software Develop detailed unit pricing by evaluating labor, materials, equipment, indirect costs, overhead, and profit margins Review and incorporate subcontractor/vendor quotes to ensure scope alignment Draft and present detailed bid proposals including clarifications, inclusions, and exclusions Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal departments to gather relevant data Maintain and update bid logs, project documentation, and historical cost data Participate in project handoff meetings with Project Management and Field Operations Support junior estimators with mentorship, workflow management, and quality control reviews Coordinate internal estimate reviews and approvals to meet submission deadlines Qualifications & Skills: Minimum 2+ years of experience in estimating or related construction role Degree in Construction Management preferred but not required Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents Strong math and analytical skills with attention to detail Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with estimating software Strong written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and team members Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines Compensation + Benefits: Discretionary bonus and profit-sharing programs Paid time off and company-recognized holidays Comprehensive health, life, and accident insurance Voluntary benefit options available 401(k) retirement plan
