Position RequirementsPersonnel 1. Assist in hiring direct contact staff. 2. Supervise home supervisors and/or direct contact staff and ensure assigned staff are on duty. 3. Provide back-up coverage as direct contact staff when necessary. Training 1. Ensure all direct contact staff are trained in all required courses, in service training, and client specific training, and all classes prescribed by the interdisciplinary team (IT). 2. Make recommendations to IT regarding training, needed by direct contact staff. 3. Train or arrange training for all direct contact staff in IHP implementation, documentation, home record maintenance, data collection, progress notes, incident and accident reports, abuse/neglect procedure. 4. Training all direct contact staff in emergency procedures and DDSD on call system. Program 1. Write implementation strategies for all objectives in IHP which are responsibility of residential program. 2. Attend all IT meetings, and bring consumer, as well as appropriate information and data. 3. Ensure consumers have appropriate clothing for season, which is in good repair and correct size. 4. Schedule medical treatments and therapies for consumers. 5. Schedule appointments with professional providers for yearly assessments of consumers for IHP. 6. Coordinate with vocational provider and/or school as needed to assure continuity of programming. 7. Maintain regular weekly contact with case manager. BASIC • Two year college degree or higher preferred. High school diploma required OR a continuation of education and experience working with the developmental disabled. • Two years working with the developmental disabled related assignments. • One year of supervisory experience preferred. • Should be cleared of any convicted crime, including felonies, misdemeanors and summary offenses. If not, must have been annulled, expunged or sealed by a court of law. • Valid driver's license and Proof of Auto Liability Insurance. • Ability to work in the confines the client's home. • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written) with all personnel involved. • Ability to handle physical aspects of job. Must be able and willing to lift between 10 Lbs.- 50 Lbs. comfortably.
