As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will conduct routine foot patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist shoppers and store teams with directions, questions, and incident reporting while using clear communication and teamwork. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail mall location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disputes, medical calls, lost children, and/or disruptive behavior, and coordinating with site leadership and public responders as needed. Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, corridors, service hallways, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and policy issues. Monitor access points and tenant support areas to help to control entry, observe for suspicious activity, and/or assist with opening and closing procedures per post orders. Document observations, patrol results, and incident details in written reports and activity logs, and communicate relevant updates to the site supervisor and/or property management. Minimum Requirements: Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
