Key Responsibilities: Welcoming customers and providing them with knowledgeable assistance regarding products in the department and store. Maintaining product knowledge to effectively respond to customer inquiries and make recommendations. Offering product samples to enhance customer engagement. Informing customers about current specials and promotions. Ensuring product availability by reviewing shelf stock and taking appropriate actions for items nearing their sell-by dates. Labeling, stocking, and conducting inventory for department merchandise. Communicating discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to the department manager. Exhibiting a positive and proactive attitude. Staying informed about seasonal and special advertising initiatives. Promoting safety by adhering to safety procedures and reporting any unsafe conditions identified. Conducting routine maintenance checks on equipment and notifying management of any repair needs. Reporting any accidents involving customers or employees to management. Addressing safety risks, including theft or unsafe behavior. Collaborating effectively with team members, even in high-pressure situations. Managing conflicts in a calm, non-confrontational manner. Acting with honesty and integrity concerning customer and business information. Seeking guidance when necessary to solve customer and business issues. Providing support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults through direct interaction. Showing capability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Previous retail experience.
