Healthcare Scheduling Specialist

Pay range is $22.75 - $25.56 / hour based on experience. Are you ready to take charge of our healthcare scheduling and make a real impact? In this dynamic role, you'll wear many hats as you coordinate the nursing schedule for our residents. Here’s what you will be doing: Magical Scheduler: Create daily, weekly, on-call, weekend, and holiday nursing schedules that will impress everyone! Attendance Detective: Analyze attendance records to identify trends and patterns. Form Organizer: Keep nursing forms up to date and order new supplies as needed. Data Enthusiast: Embrace clerical tasks, from spreadsheets to reports, and make them vibrant and effective! Shift Swap Manager: Coordinate vacation requests and manage shift swaps effortlessly alongside the Director of Nursing. Communication Hub: Maintain clear communication with the Director of Nursing to ensure smooth operations. Problem Solver: Address minor complaints with excellent customer service and a proactive attitude. Attendance Guru: Review and approve timesheets with accuracy and attention to detail. Flexibility Required: Be prepared for unexpected tasks that may arise, embracing each challenge with enthusiasm! Qualifications Basic Qualifications & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of proven scheduling experience in a healthcare environment, with a solid understanding of healthcare operations including medical terminology and labor laws. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Time and Attendance Payroll systems. Strong understanding of basic business math. Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements: Light physical effort required - able to handle objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently. Movement required, including sitting, standing, and bending during working hours. Frequent interruptions may occur. Regular interaction with residents, family members, and visitors.
