Job Description Join us in leading the construction of world-class data centers. As a Senior Construction Manager, you will take full ownership of high-scale, fast-paced projects from concept to commissioning. This role requires precision in driving schedules, budgets, quality, and safety. You will lead cross-functional teams comprising project managers, commissioning specialists, and contractors while expertly managing complexity and ensuring tight execution through meticulous planning and on-site leadership. Your deep expertise in technical design, vendor management, and construction delivery will set new benchmarks for efficiency and sustainability. Always one step ahead, you will introduce innovative methods and technologies to our operations, ensuring our projects propel OCI’s growth and establish new standards across our global portfolio. Key Impact Areas: Delivering complex data center projects from start to finish Leading cross-functional and contractor teams with a strong emphasis on safety Managing schedule and costs, assessing risks, and overseeing contracts Collaborating with design, commissioning, and operations teams for seamless project handover Implementing cutting-edge construction practices and sustainable solutions to enhance performance This position is based in Saline, Michigan and is not available for remote work. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Focus Area: Manage base building and MEP infrastructure, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery. Project Oversight: Supervise end-to-end construction with colocation providers, meeting all schedule, budget, and quality milestones. Schedule Management: Develop and maintain detailed, milestone-driven schedules, ensuring timely performance from providers. Risk Evaluation: Evaluate risks to on-time delivery, mitigate those risks, and keep stakeholders informed of any impacts. Tenant Fit-Out Integration: Facilitate smooth integration of tenant fit-out processes during design, construction, and commissioning phases. Quality Assurance: Uphold rigorous QA/QC standards to ensure compliance with design intent and industry regulations. Design Coordination: Collaborate with design teams to guarantee field work aligns with approved plans and specifications. Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary contact with colocation providers, driving clear and actionable communication. Risk Management: Proactively identify risks in scope, cost, schedule, and safety; implement strategies to safeguard outcomes. Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to relevant codes, regulations, and Oracle standards. Provider Performance: Provide continuous, data-driven feedback on colocation providers to foster ongoing improvements. Site Presence: Conduct regular site visits to ensure adherence to schedules, coordination of efforts, safety, and quality throughout the project. Required Skills: Base Building Mastery: Extensive knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing systems for data center core and shell. Startup and Commissioning: Guide startup and commissioning efforts, minimizing risks and expediting handovers on major data center projects. Problem-Solving: Anticipate potential issues swiftly, analyze root causes, and implement effective, data-informed solutions in a fast-paced environment. Strategic Planning: Establish program-level strategies and standards that facilitate predictable and repeatable delivery. Technical Depth: Keep abreast of developments in data center design, construction, and operations, leveraging emergent technologies and sustainable solutions. Project Management: Oversee large, complex builds from inception to completion, managing all aspects of scope, schedule, budget, quality, and change control. Leadership: Inspire and lead teams under pressure; coach and mentor team members for top performance with a safety-first mentality. Budget Ownership: Develop and manage budgets proactively, maximizing value, monitoring variances, and capturing savings while maintaining quality. Risk Management: Identify potential risks across all facets of the project, instating mitigation measures and contingency plans. Vendor Management: Source and negotiate with vendors/contractors, holding them accountable to service level agreements, performance standards, and safety regulations. Compliance: Navigate codes, standards, and Oracle policies meticulously, ensuring adherence and rectifying any discrepancies promptly. Communication: Provide clear, actionable updates, aligning stakeholders and facilitating decision-making through narrative and data. US: Hiring range is $120,100 to $251,600 per year. Eligibility for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral may apply.
