Registered Nurse (RN) | Wound/Ostomy Location: Columbus, IN Agency: Lancesoft Inc Pay: $2,646 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Wound/Ostomy RN in Columbus, Indiana, 47201! 1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. Wound, ostomy, and continence (WOC) nurses are experts in the care of patients with wounds, ostomies, and incontinence. Specifically, WOC nurses respond to the acute and rehabilitative needs of people with select disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems. They also provide direct care to people with abdominal stomas, wounds, fistulas, drains, pressure injuries, and/or continence disorders. As an educator, consultant, researcher, and/or administrator, the WOC nurse plays a pivotal role in the delivery of optimal patient care. WOC nurses practice in a variety of settings, including acute care, long term care, home health, and outpatient. 2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) EPIC EMR, WOCN CART with Dressings for Dressing Care, Ostomy Cart for Ostomy care 3. Required skills and minimum years of experience. 2 years expierence, WOCN Certification , BSN 4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) WOCN Certification , BSN 5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) Monday - Friday with Some limited weekend call. 7 am to 330 pm 6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?) Will not float. But as a WOCN will address skin issues for patients on all inpatient units, ICU, Step down, Med Surge 7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 1 ostomy outpatietn bed. 215 inpatient units 8. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) 9. Dress Code: scrubs or business casual. Scrubs prefered. 10. Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. EMR training.
