Job Type Part-time Seasonality Swim lessons are offered year-round, with varying dates for individual swim sessions. While work may not be available during breaks, other roles may be available upon inquiry. Job Summary: The Aquatic Programs Coordinator is responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and directing swim lesson programming at In-Shape Health Club. This role involves monitoring the quality and effectiveness of the programs to ensure they meet established standards and budgetary requirements. Duties & Responsibilities - What You Will Do: Ensure adherence to swim programming standards and hold instructors accountable. Enhance participant retention by actively listening to member feedback and providing innovative solutions. Plan, schedule, and execute swim lessons, stepping in as an instructor when necessary. Lifeguard and teach private and/or group swim lessons as required. Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective swim program participants. Oversee swim program equipment maintenance and report any issues to club leadership. Provide administrative support for swim lesson programming. Act as the local community liaison for In-Shape. Manage end-of-session surveys by distributing, collecting, and analyzing results. Review Daily KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Operate within established budgets, identifying areas for increased efficiency and reduced expenses. Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized club environment. Foster effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations. Exemplify the In-Shape core values: Deliver, Impact, and Inspire. Requirements & Qualifications - Here's What We Are Looking For: High School Diploma or GED. Current lifeguard certification or ability to obtain it within 60 days of hiring. Current CPR certification or ability to obtain it within 60 days of hiring. Knowledge and experience in swim programming. Prior supervisory or leadership experience in swim lessons. Strong organizational and planning skills. Flexible and positive attitude focused on exceeding member expectations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially under pressure. Able to follow instructions and complete basic forms. Successful completion of a swim assessment is required for hiring. Ability to swim 100 meters using freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly. Bilingual skills are a plus. Commitment to safety. Participation in required team meetings and training. Work Environment/Physical Demands: Team members frequently engage in walking and standing for up to 8 hours a day, with minimal sitting. Duties may include work in and out of water, requiring the ability to reach, push, pull, climb, and perform various movements. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds and rarely up to 50 pounds may be required. Team members may be exposed to cleaning chemicals and will be expected to wear designated PPE as needed. Salary Description $20.00 - $25.00/Hr
