Roswell, GA 30076)Division: Springhill Suites RoswellHours Per Week: 40Maintenance EngineerThe Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining all building systems, guest rooms, and public areas to ensure the safety, functionality, and comfort of guests and team members. This role supports the hotel’s preventive maintenance and repair programs, ensuring that facilities and equipment operate efficiently and align with brand and safety standards.What You’ll Do:General Maintenance & RepairsPerform routine and preventive maintenance throughout the property, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry work.Diagnose and repair malfunctions in guest rooms, mechanical systems, and public areas, pool, exercise room and meeting roomsComplete daily work orders promptly and document maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures.Maintain tools, equipment, and the maintenance shop in clean, safe working condition.Safety & ComplianceEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and local building codes.Conduct regular inspections of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and safety equipment.Maintain awareness of all emergency shutoff locations (gas, water, electric, and fire alarm systems).Participate in the property’s Safety Committee and assist with employee safety training.Preventive MaintenancePerform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance tasks for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.Assist in implementing and documenting the hotel’s preventive maintenance program.Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and service schedules for equipment and building systems.Guest Service & Team SupportRespond courteously and efficiently to guest requests and service issues.Support hotel operations by assisting other departments as needed.Work collaboratively with the GM, Housekeeping Manager, hotel team members, management company and ownershipEffective communicator and timely follow up and completion for maintenance requestsProperty Care & OperationsMonitor building appearance and address issues such as lighting, landscaping, or signage.Oversee small projects or vendor work as directed.Assist in ensuring energy conservation initiatives are practiced and maintained.Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, QA requirements and local fire departmentAbout You:• High school diploma or equivalent required.• Technical or trade school training preferred.• Certifications or licenses in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical fields are a plus.• Minimum 2–3 years of maintenance experience in a hotel, commercial, or multi-familyproperty.• Proven ability to perform general repairs and maintenance in a fast-paced environment.• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.• Proficient with basic hand and power tools.• Strong organizational and communication skills.• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.• Commitment to providing excellent guest service and maintaining a safe, clean environment.Physical Requirements• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull carts up to 200 lbs.• Frequent walking, bending, standing, kneeling, and reaching.• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in variable conditions.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at every level of the organization.
