Jenks Public Schools Job DescriptionPosition: School Bus Driver In-Training Reports to: Training Department and Director of Transportation Supervises: None Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. Good driving record. Complies with all state requirements. Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. Position Goal: To obtain a class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Attend all theory training classes or complete the ELDT online 19.1 theory course and complete 4 section tests with an 80% or higher. Study and pass (4) section tests to obtain a commercial learner's permit at the DPS office. Work with the transportation training instructors to learn all necessary skills to pass the DOT test to obtain a class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements. Learn to safely operate a school bus. Learn Jenks Transportation protocols. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
