Finance Manager

Job title: Finance Manager / Duration: 12+ months contract with possibility of Extension Location: Indianapolis, IN 46225 Shift: Standard business hours.Description: Specific to the manager role: They'll be looking for someone with more experience and leadership. A person agile in being able to jump in to fill gaps with business support analysts. Key three she mentioned for the manager: 1. Financial Control - someone with some pure accounting knowledge and experience. 2. Planning and Analysis - strong background with reporting and interpreting data 3. Business Support This role is to provide a wide range of finance support to the Client Finance team. This is while the business grows over the coming years and the finance team are engaged in several special projects. The selected candidate will be able to contribute to the business through a broad skillset from Financial Control, Financial Planning & Analysis and Business Partnering skills Key Accountabilities • Support the monthly financial reporting process for Defense; responsibilities include posting journals and completing actual and forecast schedules with supporting commentary and variance analysis • Provide Business partner services as required. • Support the development and maintenance of the Strategic Plan, Five Year Plan, in year forecast, and Appley opportunities, threats, and levers. • Perform monthly Balance Sheet reviews, validating and explaining key Balance Sheet movements and closing out key control items as required. • Presenting financial data to management and be capable of validating and explaining the accounting policies, principles, and procedures involved • Improving financial processes and maintain their alignment with associated processes • Researching and reviewing accounting issues and providing recommendations and support • Support the development and maintenance of long-term project and contract profit plans, including Long-Term Contract Reviews (LTCRs) • Provide ad hoc support such as, but not limited to, contract billings and payments and misc. financial analysis as required for the Defense Finance team. Basic Requirements: • Associate's degree with at least 4+ years of Accounting or Financial analysis experience. • Bachelor's degree with at least 2+ years of Accounting or Financial analysis experience. • Master's degree; OR • JD/PhD • In order to be considered for this position you must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident • SAP Experience. Preferred Requirements: • CPA or MBA • Experience with Hyperion Financial Reporting • Experience in Aerospace/Manufacturing experience. • Experience in VBM,HFM, Oracle
