The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for the food industry and a love for creating delicious meals that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. As a Dietary Cook/Aide, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to perfection and served in a timely manner. You will also be providing assistance with the residents and assisting as a dietary aide. This position features competitive starting pay and increases with experience!Eligible employees who waive their health insurance are eligible for an additional $1.50/hour insurance supplement. Qualifications of a Dietary Cook/Aide: Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED ServSafe certification preferred Previous experience in the food industry or culinary field is preferred. Must have basic math skills Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively. Essential duties and responsibilities of a Dietary Cook/Aide: Prepares and directs the preparation of all food served using standard recipes and special diet orders as a guide. Determines amount and type of food and supplies required for daily menus and sees that supplies are obtained from storage areas in adequate time for meal production. Coordinates meal production with meal serving hours Keeps the work area clean and sanitary at all times Evaluates food quality and taste to assure resident satisfaction. Assists with food service aide duties as needed in order to assure resident hospitality by setting up tables, waiting tables, taking orders, serving food and beverages, bussing tables, cleaning/sanitizing tables, and washing dishes.
