Salary: $18.13 - $21.21 Hourly Location : Bloomington, MN Job Type: Temporary Seasonal Job Number: 2026-Life Department: Parks and Recreation Opening Date: 12/23/2025 Closing Date: 3/15/2026 11:59 PM Central FLSA: Non-Exempt Bargaining Unit: NU Primary Objective The City of Bloomington seeking an individual to be a Lifeguard who will work under the direct supervision of the Assistant Coordinator to provide excellent customer service while safeguarding patrons from drowning and other accidents. The Aquatic Center season runs from May 19 - August 23rd with training in early May and opening date of June 6. Dates and Times: May 19 - August 23, 2026, Open seven days per week, 5:45 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. SUPERVISION OF OTHERS This position does not supervise others. Anticipated Hiring Range: $18.00 - $20.00 HourlyINCENTIVES: Commitment Bonus- A seasonal employee who works until at least August 20th will receive $100 bonus on their final paycheck.Referral Bonus- A seasonal employee who refers a new seasonal employee will receive $100 bonus on their final paycheck. Referral paperwork required within one week of employees start date and both employees must be employed for the entirety of the scheduled season to be eligible.
