Department Overview The Presales Engineering group serves as the technical backbone of our Sales organization. Our engineers play a vital role in translating innovative communication solutions into reality, facilitating crucial responses in demanding situations. As the owner and architect of our solutions, the Presales Engineering team manages all aspects of sales support engagements. Job Description We are seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to lead presales initiatives and manage the complexity of various projects, overseeing each stage from scope definition to project completion. You will work closely with our Sales team and stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge, customer-centric solutions for public safety. Your expertise will be pivotal in designing, evaluating, and refining system architectures that address our clients’ specific needs. Additionally, you will mentor and guide a team of engineers, ensuring we maintain high standards in our mission-critical communications technologies, such as voice/data networks, mobile devices, and cybersecurity. Key Responsibilities: Designing and analyzing radio coverage. Creating detailed equipment lists. Developing system designs and diagrams. Understanding and assessing customer requirements. Calculating power and networking specifications. Participating in proposal reviews and contract discussions. Providing expert consultation to customers and the sales team. Delivering impactful presentations to clients. Coordinating with functional teams to achieve proposal and win-strategy objectives. Formulating implementation strategies and service plans for competitive projects. Exceeding customer requirements and proposing value alternatives when necessary. Managing solutions to achieve sales, revenue, and margin targets. Driving completion of sole source and RFP projects. Collaborating with project team members on proposed solutions. Partnering with third-party vendors for integrated solutions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Wireless, Computer, Network Engineering, or Computer Science is preferred. 7+ years of experience in sales engineering and/or solutions architecture. In-depth knowledge of wireless communication technologies and voice/data architectures (e.g., APCO P25, LTE, 802.11, 3G/4G) is highly desirable. Familiarity with IP networking architecture, protocols, and security is beneficial. Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) coverage predictions and modeling tools is a plus. Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences. Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders. A creative mindset with a readiness to challenge conventions. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to flawless execution. Compensation: Target Base Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 USD.
