Sanitation Technician

Starting Pay: $22.41 per hour Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 p.m. - 4:30 a.m. Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Technician to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment. If you are detail-oriented and enjoy working independently, this role is for you! Key Responsibilities: Thoroughly sweep and clean the entire warehouse to meet cleanliness standards. Daily emptying of trash bins and cleaning of trash areas; operation of the trash compactor when needed. Regularly pull pallets and clean/scrub product bays. Respond promptly to spills or product breakages, assess damages, and determine the proper disposal or salvage methods according to safety regulations. Perform light maintenance tasks, including but not limited to the replacement of light bulbs and collection of recyclable materials. Document cleaning schedules, spill incidents, and product damages, and may assist in tracking maintenance supplies. Maintain cleanliness in additional areas such as break rooms, restrooms, offices, and test kitchens. Ensure facility grounds and dumpster areas are tidy. Operate various equipment, including scrubbers, pallet jacks, and high lifts as required. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED preferred. Previous custodial experience is a plus. Ability to read and write legibly, follow directions, and possess basic mathematical skills. Experience operating warehouse equipment like reach trucks, pallet jacks, and floor scrubbers is advantageous. Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, and carrying light to medium weights (up to 50 lbs). Occasional driving of forklifts and pallet jacks. Ability to push/pull objects up to 100 pounds, stoop, squat, and maneuver as needed. Compensation: Pay may vary based on experience, education, and location.
