About the Role The Population Intelligence team at Oracle Health Data Intelligence is expanding, and we are searching for a Lead Software Engineer. This dynamic team aggregates data from various disparate sources and normalizes it, facilitating advanced decision support, predictive algorithms, population identification, and sophisticated analytics. Responsibilities Your Role As part of the software engineering division, you will utilize your advanced knowledge of software architecture to undertake software development tasks associated with creating, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems in alignment with specified designs. You'll enhance existing software architectures while proposing improvements. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities and an understanding of company policies and processes. High proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Java, C++, or C#. Expertise in Big Data Processing, ETL processes, Relational Databases, Hadoop Ecosystem, Apache Crunch, Spark, Hive, and SQL. Experience in building and maintaining large-scale enterprise applications, distributed systems, and cloud-based platforms. Solid understanding of modern web applications, encompassing both database and user interface aspects. Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs. Knowledge of web front-end technologies, including React, Preact, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and Oracle JET. Proficiency in design patterns, SOLID principles, and writing well-structured, maintainable software. Understanding of software engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations. Knowledge of operations processes and DevOps technologies such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, and Maven. Excellent communication skills applicable in both technical and non-technical contexts. Required Qualifications: A minimum of 8 years of relevant technical experience. Strong ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members. BS or MS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent. Note: Certain US customer-facing roles may require compliance with applicable health mandates. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive salary range of $96,800 to $223,400 per year, along with eligibility for bonuses and equity.
